TIRUCHI, JAN.31. The City Police Commissioner (in-charge), Sunil Kumar Singh, has ordered the detention of one Anandh alias Arumugam (28) of Thirumullaivayal in Chennai, a notorious anti-social element, under the Goondas Act. Anandh was involved in a murder in Tiruchi last year and in also two other cases relating to extortion. He was arrested by the Tiruchi city police on January 23 in connection with a robbery in Palakkarai the previous day and has been detained under the Goondas Act.
