FICCI signs accords with Romania

NEW DELHI. JAN. 31. During the visit of the Romanian President, Ion Iliescu, and the business delegation to India, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry today signed two Cooperation Agreements with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and an MoU with the Indian Business Alliance of Romania (IBAR) to foster the development and diversification of commercial exchanges between the two countries. These steps are expected to bolster economic cooperation on a mutually advantageous basis.

The Joint Cooperation Agreements were signed by Yogendra K. Modi, president, FICCI, and George Cojocaru, president, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania.

As part of the understanding, both sides agreed to take steps to carry out a permanent exchange of information and publications in the economic field. They have consented to encourage contacts between commercial organisations.
