Seminars to mark bank's anniversary

VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 31. The Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank, a pioneer in cooperative urban banking in the State, will celebrate its 88th anniversary with a series of seminars on the cooperative urban banks.

According to secretary of the bank, P.V. Narasimha Murthy, a seminar on the `Development of Co-operative Law--changes envisaged', in the Gajuwaka industrial area on Sunday, followed by another on `Role of Cooperative Urban Banks and Credit Societies for agriculture and rural development' at Narsipatnam on February 3, and a seminar on `Role of Cooperative urban banks for development of urban poor--the present and future scenario envisaged' during the valedictory function in the city on February 5, will be held.
