Ananth Kumar files suit against Poojary

BANGALORE,
JAN. 31.
The President of the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party and former Union Urban Development Minister, H.N. Ananth Kumar, has filed a defamation suit against the President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), B. Janardhana Poojary, in the city civil court.
Mr. Kumar has sought a temporary injunction to restrain Mr. Poojary from making charges against him pertaining to the HUDCO matter.
The city civil judge has issued notice to Mr. Poojary to give his reply on the question of granting the injunction as sought by Mr. Kumar.
In his petition, Mr. Kumar has said that the allegations and statements of Mr. Poojary are full of factual misrepresentations and false suggestions that have severely damaged his reputation. Mr. Kumar has also sought compensation of Rs. 10 lakh from Mr. Poojary.
