CBI arrests income-tax official

NEW DELHI, FEB. 1. The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Deputy Director of Income Tax and two others on the charge of demanding and accepting bribe from a person to show official favour.

The Deputy Director (Investigation), U.S. Dhyani, an IRS official of 1994 batch, Chartered Accountant Satya Prakash and another person were arrested for allegedly demanding Rs. 30 lakhs from a person to settle his tax disputes. — PTI
