THRISSUR, FEB. 1. The Tourism Minister, K. V. Thomas, has said that it will be difficult for him to accept the Excise portfolio if there is a Cabinet reshuffle in the wake of the former KPCC president, K. Muraleedharan's induction into the Cabinet. The Minister told presspersons here on Sunday that he had conveyed his views to the Chief Minister, A. K. Antony, and the party high command. ``I represent a community known for its anti-liquor policies. The high command and the Chief Minister have always respected my feelings and accepted my decisions,'' he said. The Minister said that Mr. Muraleedharan's induction into the Cabinet would foster unity in the Congress and the United Democratic Front (UDF). ``He should be given a post that befits him. Mr. Muraleedharan, I believe, will perform well as a Minister. I was among the first to nominate him as the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president,'' Prof. Thomas said. He said the senior leader, K. Karunakaran, would not form a separate party.
