HYDERABAD, FEB. 1. The Panjagutta police busted a fake certificate racket and apprehended four persons, including the alleged kingpin, Gregory Nicholoas, director of `Viswam Consultancy.' Three others who aided and abetted the racket were yet to be arrested, the West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police, N. Sanjay, said at a press conference here on Sunday. Gregory confessed to the police that he had processed visa applications of over 300 students with fabricated documents in the past two years. While 100 students got admitted to various international universities, applications of the remaining were rejected. Gregory completed Intermediate part of the Chartered Accountant course and began to lure students wanting to go overseas through his educational consultancy by assuring them admissions in foreign universities. He began misusing name of London E-Business School by issuing fabricated admission letters. Gregory took the assistance of Siva Reddy to prepare fake letterheads of banks and other institutions in the latter's printing press at Santoshnagar. Siva Reddy used to make the fake letterhead with a computer and scanner. Another person, Bala Raju, a temporary employee of Vysya Bank, was picked up on the charge of supplying bank passbooks to Gregory. The fourth arrested person, Prakash, used to make rubber stamps of various Government offices and supply them to Gregory. Three others, who supplied fake rubber stamps and pattadar passbooks to Gregory, were still at large.
