KOZHIKODE, FEB. 2. The striking trade unions of postal staff would hold discussions with the Post Master General (North) here tomorrow in an attempt to settle their agitation which has paralysed functioning of postal services for a week in North Kerala causing considerable inconvenience to the public. The employees went on strike to protest against appointment of booking agents for speed post services which they allege is part of measures to privatise the department. Mail bags have piled up in RMS offices as the staff there have also gone on strike. Most of the post offices have also remained closed. There has been no delivery of postal articles.
