Dry weather in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, FEB. 3. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevail over Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Anakapalli (Visakhapatnam dt.) recorded 3 cms rainfall.

The minimum temperature rose markedly at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rose appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest north interior and coastal Karnataka, fell appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, north interior Tamil Nadu and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at a few places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over rest Telangana, south coastal Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over rest of the region. Mandya recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Thursday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mainly dry weather will prevail over interior Tamil nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema and Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast valid until Thursday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Mainly sunny weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu.
