Liquor seized, man held

BELLARY, FEB. 3. The Excise staff conducted a raid on a godown and seized liquor worth Rs. 17.5 lakhs on Monday. A man has been arrested in this connection.

Based on a tip off that liquor, manufactured in Rajasthan, was stored illegally in the godown in the Mundargi industrial area, the raid was conducted at about 11 p.m. Nearly 800 cartoons containing a popular brand of whisky were seized.
