NEW DELHI, FEB 3 . A Delhi Court today extended the CBI remand till February 9 of Income Tax Deputy Director (Investigations), Uma Shankar Dhayani, who was nabbed on January 31 on charges of bribery. Special Judge, H. P. Sharma, also remanded two other accused - S. P. Garg, a chartered accountant and his assistant Ravi Verma -- for seven days custodial interrogation to unearth the racket. While asking for police remand, the CBI counsel submitted that the investigating agency had recovered some clinching evidence including some incriminating documents during a raid on January 31 at the residential and official premises of the accused. The CBI had recorded the conversation between Dhayani and the complainant and between Dhayani and Verma about the transaction, the counsel said.
