PONDICHERRY, FEB. 3. The Health Minister, E. Valsaraj, the Speaker, M. D. R. Ramachandran and the chairman of the Pondicherry Khadi and Village Industries Board, P. Angalan, paid homage at the statue of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. N. Annadurai, on the occasion of his 35th death anniversary today. Volunteers of the All-IndiaAnna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam led by the state committee secretary and MLA, A. Anbalagan, came in a procession from the party office at Uppalam and paid homage at the statue at the Odiansalai Square. Another AIADMK legislator, A. Kasilingam, was among those who were present. Dravida Munnetra Kazhgam volunteers led by the State convener of the party and opposition leader, R. V. Janakiraman, came in a silent procession and garlanded the statue. The former Rajya Sabha member and vice-president of the State DMK committee, C. P. Tirunavukarasu, paid homage. The leader of the MDMK-led trade union, S. Muthu, and the president of Pondicherry unit of the New Justice party, S.Ponnurangam, also paid floral tributes.
