KOLLAM, FEB.3. The All-India Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Confederation has decided to organise the communities into a cohesive vote bank in order to gain political influence. At a press conference here today, the confederation leaders, M. Janardhanan and Vakanad Raghavan, said that members of the Scheduled communities will be organised for this purpose. Mr. Jarardhanan said that the confederation was open to talks with various political parties on issues relating to rights and demands. He said the confederation would consider fielding its own candidates in the coming elections once the vote bank strength was established.
