Lakshmi Vilas Bank Q3 net up 31 p.c.
KARUR: Lakshmi Vilas Bank has recorded a 31.8 per cent rise in net profit to Rs. 30.09 crores in the third quarter ended December 31, 2003 from Rs. 22.83 crores in the corresponding period in the previous year. The gross profit has increased by 19.7 per cent to Rs. 77.71 crores from Rs. 64.95 crores. The operating profit in the nine month period is higher at Rs. 67.92 crores against Rs. 58.33 crores. Total deposits have registered a growth of 19.6 per cent at Rs. 2,976.27 crores. Advances have improved by 19 per cent to Rs. 1,764.23 crores. Net interest margins also improved to 2.26 per cent from 2.18 per cent.
