Sensex sheds 75 points

MUMBAI, FEB. 3. Recording its fourth straight fall, the Sensex dropped as low as 5550.17 when the Finance Minister Jaswant Singh announced the Interim Budget ahead of expected early elections. However, it recovered from the lower levels at least on two occasions after the presentation of the Budget. With today's loss the Sensex has lost 375 points in the last four sessions after gaining about 400 points in the preceding three sessions. The Sensex has been on a roller coaster ride ever since it hit a historic intra-day high of 6249.60 points on January 9.
