Suryalakshmi Cotton's expansion plans
HYDERABAD: Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills plans to make a further investment of Rs. 50 crores in 2004-05 in its spinning and denim divisions, enhancing the spindlage by 29,000 and denim fabric capacity by five million metres.
The total spindlage after expansion will be 95,000 and denim capacity 25 million metres per annum. About 7,000 spindles are being earmarked for production of high value added compact yarn, says a company release. The company has reported a turnover of Rs. 66.85 crores and a net profit of Rs. 5.26 crores for the quarter ended December 31, 2003 against Rs. 61 crores and Rs. 2.75 crores respectively in the corresponding period in the previous year.
