KOCHI, FEB. 3. Indal employees under the aegis of Save Indal Prakshobha Samithy who were on a relay hunger strike called off their protest action on Tuesday in the wake of a direction from the State Electricity Regulatory Commission to allow Indal to access electricity from the Power Trading Corporation. A press release from the Prakshobha Samithy said here today that Indal workers and their family members would sit on a fast in front of the company gates on February 24 to press the management for immediate reopening of the smelter unit of the company. The decision to call off the relay hunger strike, which began in late August last, was taken at a meeting today.
