THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 2. The Kerala Electricity Employees Confederation (INTUC) has urged the Government to reconsider its decision not to revise the salaries for KSEB employees before June 2004 and not to promote its staff. Speaking at a press conference here today, the general secretary of the confederation, M. S. Rawther, alleged that the Government had entered into a secret deal with the Leftist unions in the board on matters related to promotion and wage revision. Mr. Rawther said that the delay in promotions before the reconstitution of the board would lead to a financial crisis in the board. Though leave surrender eligibility was cleared for the employees, the board was yet to permit the employees to avail of this facility, the union leader said.
