Bail granted
NEW DELHI,
FEB. 3.
A Delhi court today granted bail to a man accused of planting a wad of currency notes totalling Rs. 10,000 in the residential premises of the Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, last month. The Additional Sessions Judge, P.K. Bhasin, granted bail to Rakesh on his furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 20,000 with one surety of like amount. The judge had earlier rejected his bail plea.
Rakesh had been caught on January 2 while allegedly putting the money in a drawer in the office section of the Chief Minister's residence. The Delhi police had later arrested the accused after his interrogation.
