LONDON, FEB. 4. Leaders of pro-independence Kashmiri groups from India and Pakistan will meet here on February 28 to discuss their role in any agreement on the Kashmir issue. Ayyub Thakur, president of the World Kashmir Freedom Movement, which has called the meeting, said it was being held in the light of the joint statement issued by India and Pakistan on January 6 agreeing to address the Kashmir issue. "It is crucial and necessary that Kashmiri political leaders representing all political opinions, regions and minorities should meet to create mutual trust among themselves and make a strong case for their participation in future negotiations,'' Dr. Thakur said.
