State's voters put at over 5.10 crores

HYDERABAD, FEB. 4. After further rectification, the final tally of the electorate in the State was available today putting the figure at 5,10,30,033, a decrease of 7.5 per cent from the previous total.

This works out to 64 per cent of the State's total population put at 7.9 crores as adjusted to the present day by the election authorities based on the 2001 Census data. Accounting for 2,57,31,927 votes, women dominated the list. They outnumbered males (52,69,552) by a margin of 4,62,375. There are 28,554 service electors, representing armed forces.
