Syndicate Bank mulls subsidiary
BANGALORE: Syndicate Bank will start a subsidiary to sell general insurance products, the bank's Chairman and Managing Director, Michael Bastian said, at a press meet here on Tuesday. The bank was talking to several companies, including public sector companies, to distribute the products. Syndicate Bank sells life insurance products through a tie-up with Allianz Bajaj. It had sold some 2600 policies since October last, when that deal was operationalised. The bank would sell some two lakh credit cards, it launched with VISA.
