HSE's awareness programme
HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Stock Exchange (HSE) is organising an awareness programme on "Unique Identification Number (UIN)" here on February 7. According to a HSE release, the Securities and Exchange Board of India had notified regulations for creating a central database of market participants and investors with UIN. These regulations place a mandatory obligation on intermediaries, their employees and other entities, and specified investors to obtain UIN. If these entities do not obtain UIN by March 31, they will not be permitted to continue their business. Karvy Consultants has been appointed as the Point of Sale (POS) in Andhra Pradesh to provide application forms for registration and accept them and also collect bio-metric details like fingerprints of applicants. 3
