BANGALORE, FEB. 4. The former Chief Secretary, B.S. Patil, has been appointed the State's Special Representative in New Delhi. Mr. Patil, who retired on Saturday, will have the rank of a Cabinet Minister. He succeeds T.B. Jayachandra, who was reappointed as a member of the Cabinet last month. Mr. Patil thus becomes one of the few former chief secretaries to be rewarded by the Government.
New Planning Board Deputy Chairman
The Government has also appointed a former MLC, D.M. Sali, as the Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Board, and Mavinahally Sidde Gowda of Mysore District as the Chairman of the State Warehousing Corporation.
