PONDICHERRY, FEB. 5. The Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, today felicitated the NCC cadets of Tamil Nadu Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar Directorate on their return from the Republic Day camp at New Delhi. The Pondicherry Group had 24 cadets in both senior and junior category. The Directorate bagged the second rank at the Republic Day camp and won the Prime Minister's Rally March past and top honours in the best cadet, drill competition and general proficiency categories. The Deputy Director-General of NCC (Tamil Nadu Pondicherry and Andaman Islands) Commodore P. P. Singh VSM, the Director of NCC, Shankar, the Group Commander Col. N Venugopal, the Contingent Commander, Lt. Col. Deepak Chander Rujay, and the Officiating Group Commander, Lt. Col. D. Raja (NCC Group Pondicherry), were among those who spoke.
