Temperature

TIRUCHI, FEB.5 . The City today registered a maximum temperature of 33.4 degree Celsius and a minimum of 21.3 degree Celsius.

BSNL scheme

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has re-introduced the scheme of providing reconnection of telephone line without the payment of rental for the disconnected period for one month from Feb. 1.

Accordingly, the telephone line would be reconnected without payment of rental for the disconnected period but on payment of outstanding dues.

Takes charge

J. Nagarathnam assumed office as the Chief Medical Superintendent, Tiruchi Division of the Southern Railway on Monday. He was till recently the Chief Staff Surgeon at the Railway Hospital, Perambur, Chennai.

Mettur level

Water level at the Mettur reservoir stood at 30.81 feet today. The inflow was 220 cusecs and discharge nil.
