NAGERCOIL, FEB.5. The annual 10-day `Thai' festival concluded at the ancient Sri Nagaraja Temple here with the car festival today. Hundreds of devotees participated in the festival by drawing the tastefully decorated car of the temple around the four main streets. The Collector, Rajesh Lakhoni, inaugurated the car festival by pulling the wooden car for some distance. The Superintendent of Police A. Arun, the Nagercoil Municipal Chairperson, M. Meena Dev, and the Deputy Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, N. Dhanapal were among those who participated. The car came to the stand around noon. Meanwhile, the `thai' festival at the Sri Boothalingaswamy Temple at Bhoothapandy near here too was wrapped up with the car procession on Wednesday. A large number of devotees pulled the decorated car around the temple.
