Damodaran to hold additional charge as IDBI CMD

MUMBAI, FEB. 5. The current Chairman and Managing Director of UTI Mutual Fund, M. Damodaran, will hold additional charge as CMD of Industrial Development Bank of India till May 31.

The Union Finance Ministry has notified that Mr. Damodaran, who is now acting CMD, will be entrusted with the additional charge as CMD with effect from October 1, 2003 to May 31, 2004, the IDBI said in a communication to Bombay Stock Exchange today.

The Appointment Committee of Union Cabinet had already approved his appointment, it said.

At present, Mr. Damodaran is also working as administrator of Specified Undertaking of the UTI. PTI

Khandelwal new

CMD of Dena Bank

The Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, A. K. Khandelwal, has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Dena Bank.

The notification to this effect was issued today by the Union Ministry of Finance, BoB informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, Bank of India in a statement said BOB general manager, M. Balachandran, today assumed charge as executive director of the bank. PTI
