Partly cloudy sky with a minimum temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius is forecast for Friday. At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 27.7 degrees C and minimum was 20.4 degrees C respectively on Thursday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 67 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 58 per cent respectively. At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 28.4 degrees C and 20.2 degrees C respectively, while humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 70 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 53 per cent. At Dolphin's Nose, the maximum temperature was 27.6 degrees C. and minimum temperature was 18.9 degrees C. and humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 67 per cent.

Free medical camp

A free medical camp will be organised by the Cargo Handling Private Workers Pool at Yarada village on Saturday to mark the 78th birthday of its president, Kovvuri Gangi Reddy. C.M.A. Zaheer Ahmed of AN Beach Hospital and specialists in gynaecology, cardiology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, dermatology, ENT and general medicine would participate in the camp. Free medicines to patients, aids to handicapped and saris to 500 women would be distributed at the camp.

BSNL offer

The Telecom District General Manager, J. Ganta, has called upon defaulting telephone subscribers to pay their outstanding dues in one lump sum at the Telecom Adalat to be held on Saturday. "Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited would waive the interest on outstanding dues to subscribers who clear the same at the adalat,'' he said in a statement on Thursday.

User fee revised

Revised user fee will be collected on the National Highway No.5 in the Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam and Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar sections. According to General manager (Tech) and Project Director of National Highways Authority of India, George Mathew, revised user fee would be collected at the existing Toll Plaza near Aganampudi. The revised user charges are Rs.15 for one way trip and Rs.23 for multiple trips in a day for car, jeep or van, Rs.30 and Rs.45 respectively for light commercial vehicle, Rs.65 and Rs.98 for truck or bus, and Rs.145 and Rs.218 for heavy construction machinery or earth moving equipment. All Government vehicles are exempted from payment of toll.
