BANGALORE, FEB. 5. The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) has filed a status report in the High Court of Karnataka on the state of footpath leading from the Lalbagh Road Junction to Richmond Circle. The report was filed following a directive from the High Court on September 18, 2003 to the Mahanagara Palike Commissioner, M.R. Srinivasmurthy, and other officials, in a petition filed by a publicity firm stating that the Mahanagara Palike had removed a signboard put up by it on the footpath during road widening work. In the report, Mr. Srinivasmurthy and other officials said the footpath between Double Road Junction and Richmond Circle was narrow and pedestrians found it difficult to walk on it.
