CHENNAI, FEB. 6. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, made an unscheduled visit to the residence of veteran musician, M.S. Subbulakshmi, at Kotturpuram in Chennai today. After completing his scheduled engagements, the President's convoy took him to Kotturpuram at about 8 p.m. to meet Ms. Subbulakshmi, who, according to close family members, is indisposed. The President made "kind enquiries about her health," and wished her speedy recovery. Mr. Kalam was at her residence for about 10 minutes and left Chennai at 9.35 p.m., about an hour behind schedule.
