HDFC records 30 p.c. growth

NAGPUR: The Housing Development Finance Corporation was growing at the rate of 30 per cent and had approved housing loans to the tune of Rs. 10,390 crores during the nine months ended December 31, 2003 against Rs. 8,005 crores in the same period in the previous year. It disbursed loans worth Rs. 8.346 crores against Rs. 6,492 crores last year, General Manager, HDFC, Madhumita Ganguly, told reporters here today. She said during 26 years of operations, a total of Rs. 62,257 crore loan was approved and Rs. 51,866 crores disbursed, thereby helping over 2.3 million families across the country.
