HYDERABAD, FEB. 7. The Andhra Pradesh Council of Churches has urged the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to intervene and arrange for restoration of the demolished wall of the 100-year-old St. Mary's Church, Khammam. In a statement here, Jetti A. Oliver, secretary, treasurer and CEO of the A.P. Council of Churches, said that it was unfortunate that the wall was demolished by the local administration leading to unrest among worshippers. Bandh observed: A report from Khammam said that a bandh was observed in response to the call given by various Christian organisations in protest against the `demolition'.
