Minister predicts split in TRS

HYDERABAD, FEB. 7. The Tourism Minister, T. Srinivas Yadav, has predicted a split in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) between its president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and senior leader, A. Narendra.

He told a news conference here on Saturday that it was only a matter of time before this happened.

He accused Mr. Rao of mortgaging the self-respect of people in Telangana with Delhi by negotiating with Congress high command on an alliance. He said Mr. Rao's claims about receiving threatening calls were a farce. He faced threat from within his party, he said.
