KARIMNAGAR, FEB. 7. Suspected naxalites belonging to the People's War shot at the Jammikunta Agricultural Market Committee Chairman, P. Satyanarayana Rao, and the Directors, Ch. Ramaswamy and V. Rajireddy, at the newly constructed market yard at Kesavapur on the outskirts of Jammikunta town today evening. Police sources said that the market committee Chairman had organised a meeting with the Directors and others at the yard. After the meeting, they were leaving the place when suddenly two persons, suspected to be PW action team members, approached them. When the market committee Chairman and others were about to ask them to identity themselves, the naxalites pulled out two guns, fired at them and fled. Mr. Satyanarayana Rao sustained bullet injuries on the left shoulder, left side of the stomach and left thigh. While Mr. Rajireddy was injured on the left side of the chest, Mr. Ramaswamy received injuries on the left shoulder. They were immediately shifted to the Warangal MGM Hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.
