NEW DELHI, FEB. 7 .Some anxious moments were witnessed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here this morning as a Jagson Airlines aircraft with 19 passengers and two crew members on board made an emergency landing following an engine failure. Authorities said the VT-C03 aircraft had earlier left on a chartered flight for Kullu. It had taken off from the airport around 8-10 a.m. But as it was proceeding to its destination, one of its engines failed and the pilot immediately sought the permission of the authorities to return to Delhi for landing. Reacting quickly, the authorities sounded an alert and made all arrangements for an emergency landing. Fire tenders and ambulances were put on an alert to meet any exigency. Subsequently, the aircraft landed safely at 9 a.m. much to the relief of the passengers, crew members, security agencies and airport authorities.
