International print convention from March 25

UDUPI, FEB. 7. The Department of Printing and Media Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, will hold an international print convention, "Vectra - 2004", at Manipal from March 25 to 27.

Rajendrakumar A., Head of the Department of Printing and Media Engineering, told presspersons here on Saturday that seminars, discussions, and paper presentations would be held as part of the convention. He said national and international experts in printing would present papers at the convention, which was being organised to bring together printers, manufacturers, students, and others associated with the printing industry. It would also highlight the developments that had taken place in the graphic industry.

A printing exhibition would be held during the convention, in which many industry leaders were expected to participate, he said. Industry-student interaction would be one of the highlights of the convention, in which 175 delegates were expected to participate.
