Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, FEB. 7. The sky will be partly cloudy on Sunday, with the possibility of light rains in some areas.

On Saturday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 29.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 23.5. At Meenambakkam, the temperatures were 29.6 and 23.8 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels were 77 and 78 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended on February 9, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., in parts of Santhome for maintenance work.

Inaugurated

The Chennai branch of the All-India Crime Records Organisation, a voluntary organisation, was inaugurated by Abash Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (North). Its president, V.K. Aggarwal, said the organisation was formed to ``bridge the gap between the police and public.''

NCC camp

NCC cadets from the Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar directorates will participate in a national integration camp at Port Blair under the overall coordination of Colonel VAM Hussain, Commander of the NCC Group Madras `A.' About 130 students will participate.
