Rahul to join Sonia during visit to State

HYDERABAD, FEB. 8. Rahul Gandhi will be accompanying his mother, Sonia Gandhi, during her forthcoming three-day visit to Andhra Pradesh, setting off speculation in the Congress circles that he might choose to contest from Andhra Pradesh in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

According to APCC sources, Rahul will tour the State with his mother on February 17, 18 and 19. As per the tentative programme, Ms. Gandhi is expected to visit Hyderabad on February 17 morning and fly to Rajahmundry. After addressing a meeting there, she will proceed to Vijayawada by road.

Later, she will proceed to Puttaparthi and Tirupati and return to Hyderabad. She is also planning to visit a couple of Telangana districts during her visit.
