Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to the Joint Parliamentary Committee report upholding the findings of the Centre for Science and Environment on the presence of pesticides in soft drinks. The CSE stands vindicated though the level of pesticides was confirmed to be less than what the private laboratory had indicated. It is hoped that the next government will look into this problem and take steps to make packaged water and soft drinks safe for human consumption.
D.B.N. Murthy,
