HYDERABAD, FEB. 8. The City Congress Committee has taken exception to the Mayor, Teegala Krishna Reddy, going on an inauguration spree in the Bagh Amberpet division of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad. "It is strange that the Mayor has chosen only this division to inaugurate programmes whereas there are another 99 divisions in the city, including six in the Himayatnagar Assembly constituency of which Bagh Amberpet is a part," the committee president, M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, said here on Sunday. He wondered if the Mayor had plans to contest from the Himayatnagar segment in the coming Assembly elections. He condemned the Mayor's contention that corporators had no right to inaugurate programmes taken up with funds from the general budget when he himself was on an inauguration spree.
