MYSORE, FEB. 8. A convention of Stree Shakti Self-help Groups of Mysore city will be held at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds on February 13. Organised by the Mysore City Corporation, the convention hopes to bring members of different Stree Shakti Self-help Groups of Mysore city on a common platform to share their experiences. The organisers will provide interested representatives of self-help groups free stalls at the venue to exhibit and sell their products. Addressing a press conference here, the Mayor, Modamani, said the Mysore City Corporation wanted to infuse enthusiasm and vigour among the members of self-help groups through the convention. Successful entrepreneurs belonging to different self-help groups would share their rich experiences with others. The convention would also give the entrepreneurs an opportunity to display and sell their products, she said. A cultural programme had been organised to facilitate the self-help group members to exhibit their talents. A procession would be taken out from Town Hall in the city in two groups.
