BANGALORE, FEB. 8. An attempt was allegedly made to steal cash from the Subramanya Nagar branch of Canara Bank on Saturday. According to police, a gang of persons entered the bank by breaking open the windowpanes. However, the gang could not lay its hands on cash or any valuables, police added. Police said several files, ledger books and other articles were found scattered.
Fatally knocked down
A vehicle fatally knocked down a pedestrian at Royal Circle in the NT Pet Police limits on Sunday. Police gave the name of the victim as Ravi (38) of Atmanand Colony in Sultanpet.
Arrested
Ramamurthy Nagar Police have arrested two persons for allegedly possessing telephone cable wires illegally and seized 250 meters of wires worth Rs. 50,000 from them. Police gave the names of the arrested persons as Mani (39) and N. Krishna (40).
