HYDERABAD, FEB. 11. The Civil Supplies Minister, C. Muthyam Reddy, today denounced the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for allegedly letting loose its workers on him during his visit yesterday to the Siddipet Assembly constituency to participate in the TDP's "janda panduga'' (flag festival) programme. Talking to reporters, he denied that police had resorted to lathicharge on TRS workers and women. On the other hand, some persons had stopped his car on the outskirts of Chintamadaka village and abused him. The police ought to have taken these persons to hospital and subjected them to medical check-up. The Minister insisted that the troublemakers had no valid issue to confront him. There was indeed a delay on the part of the LPG dealer in giving gas connections but they were in no mood to listen him that there was a shortage of cylinders. Coming down heavily on the remarks directed against him by the TRS chief, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said he would quit public life if anyone could prove that he had committed any irregularities.
