Virtusa opens centre

CHENNAI: The U.S.-based Virtusa Inc. has opened an advanced technology centre (ATC) in Chennai. This is the third ATC of the company in India. It has two ATCs in Hyderabad. According to Kris Canekeratne, Chairman of the company, Virtusa builds organisation-specific platforms that help clients rationalise cost and open newer revenue earning windows. The ATC in Chennai will house 600 people over the next 12 months. Virtusa, Mr. Canekeratne said, had invested $5 million in the Chennai ATC.
