HASSAN, FEB. 12. Students of Krishna College of Law took out a procession here on Thursday urging the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore to take steps to solve the problems in the integrated semester system. Hundreds of students who came in a procession blocked the road for some time near Narasimharaja Circle and formed a human chain. Later, they laid siege to the Deputy Commissioner's office and sought action to rectify the problems in the semester system. The Deputy Commissioner, M. Maheshwara Rao, who met the students, assured them that their demands would be conveyed to the university authorities. Later, the student leaders told presspersons that the semester system was fraught by many problems as the students had to score a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate to receive the degree. They warned that they would continue to boycott the classes till their demands were met.
