Antony's pat for Advocate General

KOZHIKODE, FEB. 14. The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, has lauded the acumen of the Advocate General (AG) of Kerala, M. Ratna Singh, as a jurist in protecting the interests of the people and the State. Mr. Antony was speaking after inaugurating the Golden Jubilee celebrations in the legal profession of Mr. Singh here today.

"The advice by Mr. Singh to the Government has been always sound. He has at every step protected the interests of Kerala and the public to the best of his ability. I admire his sense of dedication. His greatest asset was that he has never fallen to pressure.''

The judges of the High Court, Justice Cyriac Joseph and Justice R. Basant, the Speaker, Vakkom B. Purushothaman, the Public Works Minister, M.K. Muneer, the Tourism Minister, P. Sankaran, the Local Self-Government Minister, Cherkalam Abdulla, A. Sujanapal MLA, the District and Sessions Judge, M.N. Krishnan, Savithri Ratna Singh, the chairman celebrations committee, P. Balagopalan Nair, among others spoke on the occasion.
