By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI, FEB. 14. A 17-year-old boy has been hospitalised after he jumped from the third floor of a school building at Mangadu today.

Police identified the student as P. Solomon, son of Prashant and Olive Margaret. He is undergoing treatment for severe spinal injuries.

A complaint lodged by Ms. Olive Margaret charged that the boy jumped from top of his school building after he was reportedly chided by one of his teachers for securing poor marks.

He was rushed to a private nursing home at Mangadu and later shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Porur.
