MANGALORE, FEB. 15. The Founder's Day celebrations of Srinivas Group of Colleges were held here on Saturday. Rich tributes were paid to A. Shama Rao, founder of A. Shama Rao Foundation. The former Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, M.I. Savadatti, delivered the Founder's Day lecture, according to a press release from the registrar of the colleges, K. Janardhan. Prof. Savadatti emphasised the need for value-based education. He appreciated the efforts by the president of the foundation, A. Raghavendra Rao, in building an institution that provided value-based education. Mr. Rao, who presided over the function, said Srinivas Group of Colleges was striving to provide quality education at an affordable cost. The former Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University, Siddappa, was present. Cultural programmes were held on the occasion.
