MANGALORE, FEB. 16. The Coast Guard on Monday conducted a cycle expedition from Mangalore to Kundapur to commemorate its 27th Raising Day. The expedition, which was flagged off by the District Commander, Commandant A.K. Saxena, from the District Headquarters at Panambur, had two officers and 14 others. The team interacted with fishermen and representatives of the local administration at Mulki, Kaup, and Kundapur. The aim of the expedition was to create awareness among the inhabitants of coastal areas and fishermen about the importance of clean beaches.
